A/N: Some more fluffiness, tbh, what else do I write? Also, working on an update for A Capitol Love Affair, no worries! Just with all the spoilers, I was having such Klaine feelings, so I wrote a drabble. I hope you like it!
Also, as always, my tumblr is goodgollyimmolly(.)tumblr(.)com, if you are so inclined to pop in and say hi. I don't bite, I promise!
Kurt thought it was weird, waking up realizing that a year ago, he never thought he'd feel this way. Like life wasn't just an exercise in torture because his dad needed him. Or that he was going to be alone forever just because he had the misfortune to live in an area populated almost solely by Neanderthalic jocks.
A year ago, Kurt Hummel wasn't sure he wanted to live anymore. He'd called the hotlines late at night, crying to a stranger about how much pain he was in and how he wanted to end it all.
He had thought he was a coward who was too afraid to die every time he looked at the bottle of pills in his hand before slamming them down on the vanity and sinking to the floor to sob some more.
He knew his dad had to have heard the loud, wracking sobs emanating from the bathroom. He'll never forget some of the awkward conversations that led to. His dad trying to reassure him that things would get better as he stared into his cereal in the morning.
He survived. He met people who changed his life. The single most important one was lying with his bare chest pressed up against Kurt's naked back, arms around him with their hands joined and pressed over Kurt's heart. Kurt snuggled back into his embrace, humming happily as he felt a kiss pressed to the nape of his neck.
"Morning, beautiful," Blaine said, voice scratchy with sleep. "I love you."
Kurt turned around to face him, smiling brightly. "I love you too," he whispered, kissing Blaine's forehead, "and thank you."
Blaine looked confused. "Thank you too, I guess? Because I don't know if you remember, but last night, although awkward at first, was pretty awesome for both of us."
"I didn't mean that, silly," Kurt huffed, twining their fingers together and kissing their joined hands, "just…everything. From that first time you came to McKinley, and Dalton, and then Prom, and then transferr-"
"I get it," Blaine chuckled, stretching slightly, "and thank you for just…just being you."
"Okay, we need to get up," Kurt said, eyes shining as he tried to pull Blaine from the bed.
"Why do I need to get up?" Blaine groaned, then looked worried. "Did I say something wrong? Because if I did-"
"No," Kurt replied quickly, "but you keep saying cute things and I would really like to kiss you right now and we have horrible morning breath. So let's scoot."
Blaine groaned as he got out of bed, blushing when he realized that they were both still naked. He looked over at Kurt, who gave him a bashful smile as he pulled on his boxer briefs.
"Hey, you could have stayed naked," Blaine said, smiling back at Kurt.
"Who says that I wasn't thinking we could take a shower together and I felt awkward walking down a hallway naked even if you swear to God your parents won't be around all weekend?"
"Really?" Was all Blaine could manage to squeak out.
"Really," Kurt said suggestively as he walked towards Blaine, dragging a fingertip down his chest once he got close enough, "do you think that's a good idea?"
Blaine audibly gulped before replying, "Y-yeah, that's a g-great idea."
"Good," Kurt grinned before drawing away and dashing out the door, "race you!"
"You little tease," Blaine called as he raced after him.
