Sam pressed his palms against his temples and sighed. The words were dancing around the page with a life of their own, and his tired eyes couldn't pin down the sense of the text any more.
A waft of Kenzo, cool fingers insinuated themselves down the back of his neck, kneading tense muscles.
"Hey, baby."
Sam leaned his head back, face relaxing into a smile as Jess brought her slim arms round to embrace him.
"Enough legalese, Matlock. Time for bed."
