I Ought To Know This

This short story is being told from the point of view of one of the characters in the 1976 movie 'Logan's Run'.

At first, a sandman known as Logan Five had a duty to perform by terminating any runner who dared try to escape Last Day instead of undergoing the ritual of Carrousel.

But that was before the computer had altered his life clock and turned him into a runner in order to find and destroy Sanctuary.

However, there is no Sanctuary and I ought to know this to be the truth because I am Logan Five.
