The Darkness

The Darkness is the point of breakdown. This poem is about Jake and Cassie. Also, I am so proud to announce that this poem is going to be published in The Silence Within and is also going into the semi-finals in the International Open Poetry Contest.

The Darkness

The darkness that had
Captured me was more
Than I could handle.

I could not see, I
Could not hear and I
Could not even talk.

It was misery,
It was depression,
I almost lost hope.

But you were there too,
Inside of my heart,
You kept me going.

And because of you
In my heart, I had
Survived the darkness.
