- Kratos -

Kratos reached the top of the hill, stopping to examine the pine tree, the golden fleece wrapped around one of the branches, being guarded by a dragon. He looked down into the valley, at the large blue house, the strawberry fields, the pavilions. Many children and satyrs, creatures that are half-goat, half-man, tending to the fields, training, or just messing around. He stared towards the house.

"Chiron!" he yelled as he slammed the door open, "Where is the boy?" Chiron trotted into the room and said "Ahh, Kratos, I was not expecting to see you. Now, what is it that you wanted?" "The boy where is he? I grow impatient, centaur, tell me now." "I believe I know who you mean. Allow me to fetch him, please wait right here." Chiron trotted out of the house.

- Jack -

The sixteen-year-old son of Ares stood, looking at the strange man standing at the top of the hill. He was dressed in full Greek armor, ancient style, however, he had a pistol holstered on each side of his waist. He also had two blades on his back. His skin was very pale, and almost gray, with blood red tattoos all the way down his torso and on his head. He had no hair, but he had a small, black beard. The man walked down the hill, and entered the Big House, where the Camp counselor, Chiron, lived.

Moments later, Chiron came trotting out of the house, towards him. "Uh oh," he said, "what am I in for now?" "Ahh, Jack, my boy, we have a very special visitor here at Camp Half Blood, and he has requested to see you. Please come with me." He galloped off back towards the house, with Jack running to try and keep up.

- Kratos -

Chiron came back in the room with a boy in tow. Kratos sized him up quickly. He knew the boy was a son of Ares, the god of war, but the boy was scrawny, and Kratos doubted he would be very useful in a fight. "Jack, this is Kratos, the God of War," Chiron said. "What? What do you mean god of war? Isn't my father the god of war?" "I am the former god of war," Kratos growled, " I renounced my godship some time ago, I am but a demigod now, like you." "But wait, wasn't my father always the god of war? How were you both it?" "I killed your father, and took his seat. However, as gods are not able to be killed, when I renounced my godship, he reformed to fill the spot. Now, while we are on the subject of your father, let me explain why I am here.

" Ares apparently thinks you are something special, why I have no idea, and he has requested the I bring you to him." "So, I get to go to Olympus?" "Not quite. Ares is away from Olympus at the moment, he has some business in the Middle East. So, we have to meet him somewhere in between, in Greece." "So we are going all the way around the world to see my dad, and neither of us know why?" "Exactly. But, we have a dead line, September the first. Today is August first, so we have one month." So we have one month to get to Greece? Isn't that like a few hour flight?" "We cannot fly, the skies are too dangerous. We must go by land and sea. Now, we have to get moving if we are going to make it, so hurry up and gather your things and meet me at the top of the hill."
