Always
A look into Peeta's and Katniss' life after the games.
I watch them play in the beautiful daughter who I hope will grow into a strong intelligent ambitious son who is the spitting image of his Boy With The Bread.
I am thrilled that my children will not be raised in the same conditions I was, without having to wake up on a certain day with the fear of their name being called out, that they will be safe.
I remember when I first told Peeta that I was expecting our first child, the look in his eyes that made my heart skip a beat,he held me so close so tight and I never wanted him to let me go.
You don't have to give it a second look to see that Peeta has a strong love for our children,he said that he will teach our son how to bake like him,our daughter wanted to learn archery but one of the very first things I taught her...was Rue's whistle.
She's doing it she runs around the field holding dandelions in her hands.I smile at the warming sight.
Peeta joins my side and watches our children with me,'precious aren't they?' he asks softly,'yes they are' I reply still looking out at the singing children in the meadow.'I'm glad that they can have a bright future' Peeta whispers and I can feel his sky blue eyes on me,I don't reply because I don't need to as Peeta knows I agree,'I just can't get over how fast they're growing' I tell him.
'Yes they'll be adults before we know it' Peeta smiles.
I stare at the sunset in the sky above us,I hear our children's laughter as they play,I sigh slowly.'Peeta?' I say quietly,he turns to face me,'promise me...promise me that they'll be safe' I whisper.
My husband looks at me and smiles gently, his soft gentle fingers intertwine with mine, our eyes gaze deeply into each others.
'Always' he says.
