Molly looked down at her newborn baby girl and smiled. Her baby girl. She liked the sound of that. After six sons it was nice to have a daughter. She watched as the little girl with a tuft of red hair stirred in her sleep. Her little hands clenched at the pink blanket that wrapped around her. Ginerva meant fair one. And that was what her little Ginny was. She was beautiful with her pale complexion, deep brown eyes, and bright red hair. She hoped her daughter's hair would darken a bit as she got older just as hers had.
Molly looked up from her baby girl as her husband walked in with their 6 sons. She lifted Ginny up so that the boys could see her.
Bill looked at the baby in the pink blanket with pride. She was a pretty baby and he would be her protector. No one would dare to hurt his baby sister. Not with him there.
Charlie looked at his new sister as one would look at a new puppy. She looked like she would be fun to play with. And she was quite unlike the twins had been. But she wasn't sickly like Ronnie had been. He found he quite liked his baby sister.
Percy looked at the bundle in his mother's arm with contempt. He loved his siblings he really did. But they were so loud and obnoxious. He already knew she would be just the same. But he did suppose he could teach her things. Important things. So maybe this new baby wasn't so bad after all.
Fred looked at the baby in the blankets in confusion. He didn't understand why there was such a fuss over the sleeping baby. She didn't seem interesting. She seemed like Ronnie. Boring and annoying. But she would be fun to prank. So his sister would come in handy. As long as only her pranked her though. No one else would even be allowed to touch her.
George looked at his sister in wonder. She seemed quiet and pretty enough. And he bet she would be perfect to help Freddie and him with their pranks. Who would ever suspect the only girl in the family of pranking people? His sister would be the perfect partner to make the pranking duo a trio.
Ron looked at his baby sister in awe. He was only a baby himself and had never seen someone smaller than he was. He could finally have a playmate. Maybe she would like to play with his bear. He reached towards his sister to play with her only to have his father pull him away just enough so he couldn't hurt her. He was unimpressed that he couldn't play with her. So he looked towards his mum and reached for her. "Mummy!"
Arthur chuckled at his children's reactions to their new sister. He looked towards his newborn daughter and smiled. He fell in love with her as he looked at her sweet little face. She already looked very much like her mother and as Ginny opened up her little eyes and stared at her father for the first time Arthur knew without a trace of doubt that she would be as beautiful as her mother. As she had the same brown eyes he had fallen in love with several years ago.
(I know its short but let me know what you think. Thanks! I do not own Harry Potter no matter how many memory charms I use. It belongs to JK Rowling.)
