Afterlife
As she watches the clouds fly by
She feels the push of the wind along her back.
With one shiver, she falls.
Falls to the ground.
The paralyzing silence that has now surrounded itself around her
Whispers its piercing cries.
With each stab, she feels
The missing pieces of her soul
Come alive with a single heartbeat.
As the pain shall soon be revealed
The feelings inside her are so real.
As she looks up to the sky once more,
She feels the lies,
Oh so sore.
But now as the whispers say,
"One last beat that sounds so sweet.
Come alive and feel yourself arise."
As she finds the clouds have gone
She awakes to an early dawn.
She pulls her strength together
And no longer falls to her knees.
As the paralyzing silence leaves,
She can now see
Herself and who she wants to be.
