Notes and disclaimers: I found this on my computer. I was going to be a song fic but I decided not to make it one. Although the last thing Michiru says is from a Don Henely song. Haruka and Michiru belong to Naoko- sama and all her people.
This is a very sad story with no real plot. Please review.

"You can't leave me Michiru, you can't. I need you, I need you like I've never needed anyone in my life, don't leave me.."
Michiru's body twisted beneath the covers of the bed, she was in such great pain. Sweat beaded on her forehead. She managed to get what she wanted to say out.
"I don't want to leave either love. I really don't but I can't go on living like this, I just can't. Try to understand Haruka, try to understand the pain…" she gasped for air. "I want to stay here with you but I can't."
"You can't leave me Michi-chan. What will I do when you're gone?" She took her loves hand. "I'll die myself, I won't be able to go on with out you presence. Say you'll stay, promise me that you'll stay."
The smaller girl tried so hard not to shout out in pain. It hurt, God did it hurt. Why her? What had she done to deserve this? Tears began to fall down her ghastly pale cheeks.
" Oh Haruka, I don't want to go… I don't want to die! If I had my way I wouldn't go, but… God…"
She couldn't finish the thought, the pain went through her again, she writhed on the bed, the tears falling onto the pillow. Haruka wiped them gently away, feeling her own tears rise in her eyes. They blurred her vision, she blinked them away.
"Just stay a bit longer. You don't have to go yet… just a little longer. For me…"
Once again the ocean goddess struggled to talk.
"I would, you know I would… just be strong for us both Haruka. We'll meet again but I hope that it won't be soon. You'll be okay with out me, just remember how much I love you. Every time you want to die know that it's not your time. Remember that I love you and always will…"
"Don't go! Michiru, God please don't go!"
Michiru forced the words that she knew would be the last words she ever spoke out of her parched lips.
"I want to stay in the land of the living, I want to stay here with you. I love you Haruka…" Her eyes closed as Haruka finally let the tears fall freely.
"Michi…"
