Hopefully i did him justice, i do have a soft spot for him ;)
Enjoy and please R&R!
He made it to the hunter exam.
He needed a few moments to let that fact sink in.
Leorio took a look at his dim underground surroundings; he started to feel the heat, so he loosened up his tie and looked at his companions.
Even though Gon was a kid, Leorio thought that anyone would be blind not to notice the raw potential begging to be refined.
His naivety though, needed some attention. Leorio found himself very quickly protective of this young inexperienced kid. He treated him like a little brother, although sometimes a very annoying little brother.
He stole a glance to his other companion, sitting casually beside him. He took in his ethereal presence and held a sharp intake of breath.
Leorio believed that Kurapika was in a category of his own, he was a skilled fighter and a smart capable young man to say the least. He embodied both power and calmness.
Kurapika was like a quite storm waiting to be stirred, but at the same time, he was very calculated and logical, he planned every move precisely and strikes hard whenever needed.
He was the other side of the coin, leorio thought of himself with a smirk. He was known to lose his cool in a blink of an eye though he was physically capable to handle a fight; he knew he had limits, which he ends up ignoring due to his hot temper.
He knew he was the opposite of Kurapika. Maybe that's why they keep going at each other that much.
Nevertheless, he was very proud of himself to know which buttons to press, in order to tick that bomb of a blond off every once in a while, if just for the pleasant sight of seeing him mad.
Leorio keeps telling Kurapika that he was only a poor man striving to become rich, and that small hunter license would certainly allow him to be one. It was the hand of Midas that would turn everything in sight into gold.
He sighed as he remembered that money cannot buy a single thing he truly wishes for. To realize his lifelong dream, he had to actually work hard.
Being a doctor has been his passion since he was a little kid; he still remembered the first blue bird he treated with a broken wing. A white cat with a broken leg fallowed, and he even took around a first aid kit and treated his friends after tackling or playing ball.
His passion broke into fire when his best friend "couldn't make it" due to a treatable illness.
Leorio pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose to completely seal off his eyes, he scowled at the memory.
They made it sound like he couldn't make it to dinner, or as if he couldn't make it out to play.
Pietro was gone.
And he couldn't do anything about it. He vowed from that day, that no one else should fallow Pietro if they didn't have to.
He started gathering up money, he bought 403 medical books, and when the idea of taking the hunter exam as a short cut came up, he didn't even hesitate.
He stood up, grabbed his briefcase and started to run next to Gon and Kurapika.
He was thankful. For at least he didn't have to take this journey aloneā¦
