Solid Snake was sneaking around in the grass as he was trying to get undeteced by the security guards around.
"Heh heh heh... this will be easy," Snake whispered to himself as he was approaching his target, for inside the van...
...was a tasty sandwich. A bacon lettuce, and tomato topped sandwich, mind you. Something of which was indeed very tasty.
"I'm gonna get that BLT, even if it kills me," Snake stated as he slowly began his approach, only to hide in his cardboard box as he felt a codec call. "Damn it, now of all times!"
He picked up the codec call, with Colonel Roy Campbell being on the other line.
"Snake, where are you? What are you doing?" The Colonel asked.
Snake sighed as he placed his right hand on his face. "I'm on a mission, colonel. A very important mission, in fact. You picked a bad time to call."
"Snake, this isn't the time to be playing around." The Colonel told him. "I got reports that FOXHOUND-"
"Yeah yeah, I'll worry about them later." Snake stated as he turned off his codec call, going back to his mission to get the sandwich, when he felt another codec call, slapping his forehead. "You have got to be kidding me!"
He picked up the codec again, with it this time being Mei Ling on the other line. Snake had the look of someone who just watched their boss strip naked in front of them.
"Snake, have you ever heard of the 'Persitence of the boy who couldn't stop to think for others and not just himself'?" Mei Ling stated as she was trying to make herself come clear through the codec call.
"No, but it must be something stupid if it required you to interrupt me with your goddamn fake Chinese proverb from my mission!" Snake growled as he shut off his codec again, growling as he placed his hands on his head, "I swear, if I get one more codec call..."
Glancing left and right for any guards, Snake slowly sneaked his way through the jungle foilage, coming right up to the truck. He pulled out some grenades and chucked them to the right, activating them as they exploded, catching the guards' attention as they all left their spot to check it out. Snake approached the truck, looming over the sandwich as he licked his lips, only to feel another codec coming through as he growled in annoyance, hiding back into his box in the jungle.
"Snake? Are you there?" The voice, which was Otacon this time, stated. "I heard that you're not really doing anything right now, so I figured that I call to tell you about my favorite anime-"
"The only anime you're gonna be watching is Death Note, because I'm going to send a note to your relatives after you're dead, from which your death will be at my grizzly hands!" Snake exclaimed as he clenched his fists. "What the hell do you want this time!?"
"...You didn't... have to be so mean, Snake." Otacon whimpered as he let out a sigh. "I just... wanted to talk to you..."
"Yeah, well tough, because I'm in the middle of achieving my mission-" Snake halted himself as he watched the truck with the sandwich heading northward, with him clenching his fists as he yelled, "And now thanks to you, I just lost it! Fuck!"
Hanging up the codec call, Snake chucked the box aside and began running after the truck, with the various guards jumping on him. Snake pushed the guards off of him as he ran right after the truck, jumping on it as he grabbed the sandwich.
This one moment of peace didn't last, as the codec was shaking violently, with Snake grabbing it and chucking it at the various guards chasing the truck, knocking them out. Snake smirked, about to have his sandwich when the truck went over a cliff, heading downward into the gorge below as Snake screamed in horror, watching the perfect sandwich be split apart by the air as a huge, fiery explosion engulfed everything in its radius.
Poor Snake.
