After Max and Zoe broke apart from kissing the second time, Zoe sighed and put her head against his.
"So… what shall we do now?" he asked.
Zoe placed her fingers on his lips. "Shh, Mary-Jane. I have a speech to make." She said.
"Thank you for this, and for fixing my lighter. It means a lot, it was so sweet of you." She informed him.
"And another thing, I'm in love with you. So, if you'd like, can we have a proper relationship? With all the soppiness and everything?" she asked.
"Of course, if you'd remove your finger from my lips so I can kiss you again?" he asked.
Zoe obeyed, and Max kissed her again.
"I'm so happy right now" she said, snuggling into Max.
He kissed her on the forehead gently. "I am as well." he agreed.
"What shall we do now?" she asked.
"Well…" he smiled seductively.
"No Max! not yet! I meant something relationship-y" she scolded.
"It is relationship-y!" he looked rather put out.
"Hmph." She said.
"How about the pier and the beach? As a sort of date?" Max had an idea.
"Okay then!" she smiled.
They went to the pier.
"Come on! Let's get on!" Zoe get out of the car and made her way to the gaming machines, tottering slightly in her heels.
"Alright, alright, I thought you weren't too keen on the idea?" he asked, steadying her.
"I've changed my mind!" she answered, taking his arm.
He wrapped his arm around her waist. "Okay." He smiled.
They didn't win anything on the gaming machines, neither minded though.
"D'you want to go for a paddle?" Zoe asked later on.
"Er, nope." Max answered quickly.
"Oh, stop being such a spoilsport! C'mon!" Zoe kicked her heels off and ran down the beach.
Max took his shows an socks off and ran after her.
By now, Zoe was in the sea. She giggled as she splashed Max.
"Zoe! That's not fair!" he splashed her back.
Zoe squealed and shoved him.
He grabbed her and whirled her around. She screamed, and tried to wriggle out of his grasp. "Put me down!" she said.
"Okay, okay" he set her down gently.
He wrapped his arms around her. "I love you too Zoe Hanna" he informed her.
"I love you too" she replied.
They stood in the sea, watching the sun go down.
