Chapter 0 – Reminiscing
"That first day started out weird. I woke up at, like, 3 in the afternoon, which is totally unlike me, and the rest of the afternoon felt like a dream. At first I chalked it up to oversleeping – you know, you feel groggy for the entire day – but even now I'm not so sure if that Winking thing caused the dreaminess in the atmosphere. But like I said – it was a weird day…
"Now when I said I woke up, it was really more like I was woken up…"
The blonde haired boy stopped his scribbling in his notebook, layed back on his bed and thought to himself, Why am I writing this down? It's not like anyone would believe me, anyway!
As Mac Gallagher looked up at the ceiling of his room, he couldn't help recalling all the events that had transpired in the past week – or months, depending how you looked at things.
"Well, maybe they will…" he finally said aloud, "I guess the hardest part to swallow would be that man with the changing face…" Now Mac was smiling.
He bolted off of his bed with a sudden bliss he hardly ever felt as he reached into his desk drawer to procure a single insta-pic. There, in a happy little semi-circle, was Mac with a man with a shaven head and big ears on his right, and two brown haired men – one in a brown pin-stripe suit, and the other with a bright red bowtie – on his left. The date stamp on the bottom right hand corner stated: SUN 12:01 a.m. 3/28/2060.
