A Little Orb of Joy
Inside the depth of the Great Clock an ancient Zoni had just finished working on his latest achievement. Proudly he admired the shiny white orb in front of him: the soul of his future child, whose body was being built in a robo-factory of Solana Galaxy, was floating a few centimeters from his palms, waiting.
– Do not worry my dear XJ-0641, soon you will be born, it will be just a few minutes travel matter… Sigmund! – he called and soon after a bit rusted robot hasty entered the Chamber.
– Yes, sir? – the junior caretaker answered curiously.
– I will take a little break on planet Quartu, take care of the Clock in my absence – the Clock chief smiled.
– May I ask you why, sir? I know that you worked quite a lot lately, but why so suddenly? – the elder laughed merrily in answer.
– I am going to deliver the soul of my child on that planet. – Sigmund gasped, but the Zoni continued – I made arrangements with the A.I. of a robo-factory so she would built its body and I create its soul… Our child will be the hub of the survival of an entire galaxy! – the exited Senior Caretaker smiled affectionately at the orb.
– But sir, how will it save a galaxy all by itself? – the robot asked worryingly.
– It is my child and as a father is my duty to believe in it! Besides I saw glimpse of its future, so do not worry, it will success. It will be famous and one day it will come back here at the Clock… Though even I do not know when this will happen. – he sighed but then smiled – I have got to take my leave, so take care Sigmund, I should be back within few hours.
– Okay sir, no Zoni will stay unemployed! – the rusty robot saluted, making the Zoni Chief chuckle. After that the temporal being vanished in a bright flash, taking the white soul with him.
~o-o~
Further away, in a remote planet called Quartu, inside a secret chamber of a Blargian robo-factory another light flashed, announcing the arrival of the elder Zoni. As soon as his presence was noted, a green screen came to life with some word typed.
At last you came, Orvus_
– Sorry, dear, but I have just finished the soul as promised. – the Senior Caretaker apologized showing the orb.
Good! I have just ended building the body and the A.I. of our child… But unlike our previous agreement I preferred to make it… Female_
– How so? – he asked surprised.
Mother instinct_
Along with feminine intuition, the Architect of the Time Keeper knew he couldn't doubt of it, so he didn't make any other objection and chuckled.
– Very well, then. Can I see her? – he asked hopefully.
Of course, she is under that blanket, take a look. She is the best model I have ever built_
Gingerly Orvus uncovered the robot body, while holding her soul with the left hand, and he was left without breath: she was beautiful and beyond any expectation! Silently complimenting with his partner, he nodded. – So, shall we begin? – he asked.
Go on, I will add her to the last series of robot I am building, the Blarg will think she is a defect… Even if she is not_
The elder Zoni smiled and proceeded to give his daughter her white bright soul. It was safely connected with the body when the topaz on the top of her antenna lit up, so the mother A.I. moved her to a conveyor belt, the last one in a line of dummy robo-sentry.
Together with Orvus, she watched how the little robot was thrown on the floor of an outside chamber and woke up, showing bright emerald eyes that were just a little confused about how she was there and why she was startled awake so suddenly. She stood up and, after scanning the area, she reached shacking an Infobot left there "accidently" by the A.I.. She seemed distraught by the video displayed, so after storing the little robot inside her abdominal compartment, the little mecha escaped from a larger sibling right into an emergency pipe. Outside the facility she was projected inside an assault starship (left by the courtesy of the mother) which was immediately ignited and took off, after being closed.
The Senior Caretaker released a relieved sigh for both of them and turned to face the green screen.
– And so the adventure begins! – he smiled.
Indeed. I hope she will find someone who will help her_
– She is smart enough to accomplish anything, all we have to do now is wait… And hope. I will return to the Clock and I will watch over her from there… – he trailed, before adding – And I will keep in touch and send you reports. Is it okay for you?
Thank you Orvus, I will wait for your news_
Nodding and smiling, the Chief Zoni teleported himself back inside the Great Clock.
He had a daughter to guard.
Hello everyone! At last I decided to join this site and to do so I wanted to post something unusual in R&C fanfic world: a Female-Clank!
I hope I won't bore you all to death; the chapter release would be extremely irregular due to crazy university study life and actual time to copy them down from its handwritten copy...
So type ya next time!
