I'm happy you haven't changed.
The words resounded in her head over and over. It was always the same things being said to her. She was absolutely sick of it. They didn't know what she had to do to survive.
She grit her teeth in frustration. She had done the unthinkable. They were blissfully ignorant while she was in torment. Before she knew it, the words were out of her mouth.
The Killing Curse.
She hadn't meant to say it. But now it was too late.
She couldn't bring back the dead. If only she could.
All the sleepless nights that followed, afraid someone would find out her horrible truth, were spent in agony. So to say, she was the same was wrong. The War changed her.
She was different.
