Alarm blaring, Dash shoved his pillow over his head and hit the snooze button on his alarm clock. It was closer than he remembered and he accidentally knocked it to the floor.
Rolling onto his back, Dash groaned into his pillow. He threw it to the ground and blearily stood up, yawning and rubbing his eyes as he walked through his room and into the bathroom across the hall. He shut the door behind him and turned the sink on.
Dash cupped his hands under the running faucet and splashed some water on his face. He blinked away the remnants of eye gunk blurriness and he reached for a towel, but his hand only met the wall. He looked to see no towel rack and when he looked around, he realized he was not in his bathroom.
Is this his parents bathroom? Dash didn't think it looked like this. Or that it was this small. What-
That's when he saw a flash of black hair in the mirror in front of him as he looked around the room. Slowly his eyes met his own but they were not his own indigo eyes. Instead they were a light sky blue. There were freckles splashed across his face and he was short and lanky.
He was none other than Danny Fenton.
How had this happened though? He went to sleep in his own bed, in his own body last night! Was it some ghost magic? Was it-
Oh no. Was it like that movie? Where the kid wakes up in a new person's body everyday? Fuck, what if he didn't have a body anymore? What if he died? What if-
Dash was hyperventilating into the sink and gripping the edge of the sink when his right hand went through the countertop.
He yanked it back, overcompensating and falling into the bathtub behind him.
"Danny?" Oh no. It was Fenton's sister. "Are you alright in there?"
"I'm fine!" He yelled at the closed door.
"Well hurry it up. I need to get ready too."
Dash heard her walk away and he stood up and walked back to the mirror.
It was Danny alright. From the shape of his nose to the slouched posture.
Except the eyes. The eyes were now glowing a radioactive green.
At another knock, Dash tore his eyes away from the mirror and finished his business. He darted across the hall to Danny's room and shut the door just as he started floating off the floor. He let out a high pitched yelp as he flailed around in the air.
Then a tapping sound could be heard at the window and Dash snapped his head towards it where he saw himself outside. He fell back to the ground and rushed to the window, opening it and watched as Danny pulled Dash's body through the window.
"Fenton, what the fuck?" Dash whispered. "Why are you in my body? And what's wrong with yours?"
"I don't know, Dash, but why do your alarms start at five? We don't even start school until eight!"
"I go on a morning run!" Dash stared at Danny. "You didn't go on my run, did you?"
"No!" Danny yelled. "I was a little more worried about something else!"
"Okay! Well come on. Let's go tell your freak-o parents. Maybe they can fix us."
"No!" Danny yelled as he ran to block the door. "We can't tell them."
"Why not? This is probably because of some ghost weirdness so why can't we-" Dash got cut off as a bright ring of light appeared around his body. His eyes widened as it traveled over him to reveal a familiar black and white jumpsuit.
"That's, uh," Danny chuckled nervously. "That's why."
Dash's head began to spin and as he tilted, he heard Danny yell with his voice, and felt Danny grab him with his hands.
As he fell into his own arms, the world went black.
