Elena's POV
Dear Diary,
I've been trying to forget all the pain I've faced but…suffice to say it's NOT working. Why can't I forget Stefan? After all the pain he put me through…We are OVER. I keep telling myself that…but is it true? Or does he still linger in my blood stream?
Elena set down her journal and blew out a breath. She rubbed her temples and stood, going over to her mirror. She pulled her long dark hair into a ponytail and pulled on her jeans. She stretched standing in her jeans and dark v-neck shirt. She pulled on a pair of converse and made her way downstairs. She made some coffee and sipped it as she ate a bagel. She sighed and finished her breakfast. Jeremy was gone and she was in this big house all alone now. She pulled on her black leather jacket and headed out locking the door behind her.
She noticed a black impala speeding down the street as she walked. A puzzled expression came over her face as she watched it speed towards the inn. She frowned. "Who's that?" She muttered to herself. No one ever came to Mystic Falls, at least no one not there to cause trouble. She wondered who or what just got into town.
Dean's POV
"Should've washed this shirt." He thought wrinkling his nose. He paid for the room and went inside Sammy close behind. He tugged off the shirt and pulled on a new one. He wanted to smell fresh while he scoped the town. Bobby's lead had led them here, to the seemingly quite town of Mystic Falls. No town was truly peaceful and demon free, that Dean knew for a fact. He turned to Sam, who was sitting down and setting up his laptop. He chuckled. Sam was practically married to that thing. He smirked. "I'm going to go look around. See what I can find out. I'll be back later." He said in his deep voice heading out of the room, his large brown boots thumping and scraping on the ground.
He heard Sam mumble an 'ok' as he walked out. He went down the stairs and took a look at the impala. He decided to walk instead so he pocketed his keys and headed down the street. His deep green eyes scanned the area as he walked. He saw couples walking, mothers strolling with their kids, and fathers and sons playing catch. He turned away from the sight before his heart could ache. "Get your head in the game." He scolded himself.
He made his way to a building called 'The Grill' and went inside. He went to the bar and sat on a stool. He smiled at the dark haired bartender. "Beer, please." He said with a wink. She blushed as all the others did and got him a beer, passing it to him with a sweet smile. He chuckled. He took a drink as he looked around. He froze when he saw a young girl sitting all alone and sipping a glass of coke. He took in her dark hair and eyes and her stunning figure despite her casual clothes. He set down his beer and made his way over with a slightly cocky, but all business walk. He flashed a cocky smile. "Hello, what's a pretty girl like you doing sitting all alone?"
