This was originally a solo RP I did a while ago. It's a reflection of Endrance and Elk- my first .hack// Fanfiction! Enjoy!
I fight for you
Endrance scanned the map carefully. This place was one of the few he constantly went to. It was a dungeon designed exactly like one of the ones he and Mia had gone to all those times before in R:1. A 'Lost Ground' of sorts.
Brandishing his sword he headed out. This area was only of level 20, but still he often came here for the nostalgia of it all. Entering the second hallway he fed the chim door the required amount of chim spheres.
His eyes narrowed at the monsters ahead. Tightening his hand on the blade he charge. "She is the one I fight for!" he growled spinning, pulling sword over head, as he destroyed the monsters easily. The treasure chest appeared at his feet.
Kicking it the treasure chest bounced open open.
You have obtained Aromatic Grass!
The words floated across the screen, a wry grin spreading across Kaorus face at the thought. For some reason, this area and a few others still had this item. He often wondered if it was about the Avatar/ Epitaph thing. Or perhaps they were a lost item... but still it filled him with joy.
Stopping for a moment he dematerilized the weapon peering out into the wall of the dungeon. He imagined himself and Mia, in the same area only fighting a crab. He easily saw the monster creep up on him, and him being to weak. Mia attacked destroying the monster and checking if he was okay. His usual answer 'I'm just fine Mia! Are you okay? Maybe I should just stick to healing you!?' the voices and images were very easy to remember.
'Mia! I want to protect you!'
'Mia, I want to fight fight for you!'
The words rung through his head, a bad yet good memory. He looked down at his gloved hands.
Seven years ago.. had it really been that long ago..? Of course.. he still remembered the offline parties everyone had. How awkward he felt, how awkward he still felt. Even after seven years, he hadn't changed much.
He remembered his words, he had joined "The World" to change. Perhaps he had in some ways, but he was still the same. He rejoined "The World" now after all... to remeet those friends that made him strong, but it didn't work.
He came here to fight for her. He had promised he would become strong, to protect her after all. Yet..again he was to weak to protect her. Far to weak. Would he ever be strong enough to protect her?
Endrance glared away, while Kaoru's eyes brimmed with tears. Dammit he was male, males didn't cry. Then again who was he kidding? He always cried...
