Long ago, in the Underground Realm, where there are no lies or pain, there lived a Princess who dreamt of the human world…

"Fairy tales? Again?" her mothers said, over the noise made by the caravan of black Bentley cars, pulling her away from the story. "I don't understand why you had to bring so many books, Ofelia? We're going to the country… the outdoors… plenty of fresh air. You're to old to be filling your head with such nonsense."
"Yes Mum, but… I do love them so…" Ofelia's voice trailed off, and was then was flooded with a pleading tone. "Oh please, just this last."
Her mother pondered for a moment, "Fine, its just as well, we are still far from arriving at the mill."
Ofelia gave her mother a fleeting smile and the turned her full attention back to the worn, and well read, leather bound pages of the book that lay open on her lap.

…a Princess who dreamt of the human world. She dreamt of blue skies, the soft breeze and sunshine. One day, eluding her keepers, the Princess escaped. Once outside the brightness blinded her and erased her memory. She forgot who she was and of where she came. Her body suffered cold, sickness and pain, Eventually, she died.
Her father, the King, always new that the Princess would return. perhaps in another body, in another place, at another time. And he vowed to wait for her, until he drew his last breath, until the world stopped turning...
