Slipping Away

Catch me as I fall from your arms. Slipping away from my sanity as well.
The grip you had on my body loosened letting me fall into the darkness.
My heart slowly started to stop, letting hear it pounding in my head. Riveting through my body.
I watched you fade into the light like I fade into the darkness.
Your face is like a memory disappearing into thin air.
Leaving no trace.
A corrupted memory. Smiling, you walk away, erasing me from your mind forever.
Your jacket that I gave you flies into the wind and flutters away.
My tears sparkle as the fly upward.
Hopes and dreams go with them.
I close my eyes to make sure it isn't real, just a dream.
Just a dream.
As I fall swiftly to the ground, my mind fills with all of the memories with you.
As my memories faded into the darkness...so did my life.
There was nothing left for me.
Nothing.
You abandoned me.
Making me vulnerable.
Letting me die.
