Chapter One- Waiting Wizards
'Every morning, I get up before breakfast and wait impatiently by the door. I wait in silence until he comes. Pushing through the golden slot comes a few letters, slipping through one by one. I hope my Hogwarts acceptance letter comes.'
Hesper Wood has been waiting. She thought it would never come considering Hugo Weasley had already received his. Though Hugo's parents were Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who played large roles in the defeat of the dark lord, she considered her father also big news.
Hesper was the daughter of the World Quidditch Champ Oliver Wood. She also had some close ties with Bertie Bott, the inventor of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. She has also considered the fact that she was close personal friends with Lily Potter and Hugo Weasley by a close second.
While Waiting, Hesper often thought about mystical and imaginary creatures. Her favorites were Hippogriffs, Swedish Short-Snouts, and Thestrals. She also thought about getting her Pygmy Puff at the Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley before leaving for Hogwarts.
Interrupting her thoughts, a beam of light finally soared through the mail slot. All Hesper could do was sit and hold her hands out under the slot, hoping to receive the letter.
