Title: Just a talk Rating: PG Warning: No beta.
Disclaimer: Don't own the A- team, don't make any money with it.
And even this story isn't mine.
Translator note: This small fic was written by my friend Nastena for my challenge: Face/Amy heart-felt talk (not about Leslie) with a kiss in the end.

My thanks to Nastena for writing this sweet little piece and for letting me to translate and post it here.

"Amy?" Face asked surprised "What are you doing here?"
"I just thought that since you destroyed my car again, you can give me a ride to the office" she said, sitting comfortably in his Corvette.
"Uuhm … Yea, sure" Face shrugged "But don't you afraid that someone can see us together?"
"What, you already have a girlfriend in my newspaper office?" Asked Amy slightly offended.
"Actually I was talking about Decker" answered Face, hitting gas pedal.
For some time they went in silence. Couple of times Amy glanced at him in askance as if not daring to speak. Face gave way first.
"What?"
"What do you mean?" She tried to avoid answering.
"Amy don't weasel, better just ask straight away."
"Well," She hesitated "doesn't that bother you? All that constant chases, living on the edge… Jazz?"
Face was in deep thought. He didn't speak for several seconds, and then his face became wistful. It's looked like he didn't even see the road.
"It hard to explain. Why did you decided to stay with us after the first case?"
"You give me the best stories for my career." Shrugged Amy.
"And honestly?"
Now was Amy's turn to think.
"Probably Jazz is sort of infectious. I saw you in action and realized that this is a drug. I want to see it again and again. Even more, I want to be part of it,
to be part of the Team. But I still an outsider for you."
"You're the closest friend we have in the outer world." Face for a moment turned his attention from the road to tap Amy on the shoulder. "The Team… Family. My only family. Sometimes it seems like we are one organism divided in four parts.
Each part can live separately, but only together we can function at full force…"
He went silent again, but continued several seconds later. "We probably should said thanks for it to Vietnam. War destroyed many lives, but us it did brought together. Sometimes I think what it would be like, if life went another way? If Hannibal didn't take me under his wing… Probably there wouldn't be Hanoi, and I would return war hero… And would loose myself into drinking from boredom. Yea,
sure sometimes I want quiet and peaceful life, without thinking if this girl flirt with me because she likes me or because she with MPs and consider it like her personal affair of honor to catch the elusive A-Team, or at least one of them. So that sound of alarm wouldn't make me hectically look for ways out. So that… But to see Lynch's or Decker's disappointed face, when they didn't catch the A-team again…" Face smirked. "You're right. Jazz is infectious. It is a constant self-testing – can you succeed or not, make it successful – it helps you not to mould.
Face was silent again, lost in his own thoughts. Amy didn't break silence. She didn't expect this frankness, as long as she knew him this was just second time when Face has opened piece of his soul. And she really didn't want him to regret about it.
When they were approaching to LA Amy looked at him again quizzically. He smiled in return even if for a moment fear flashed in his eyes.
"And why they call you Face?" She asked.
"I don't remember." Face laughed. "Someone called me this once and it stuck."
"It suits you well" Amy stroked his cheek.
Face stopped the car at the roadside.
"You think so?" He smiled and pulled her closer to kiss.
