A/N- You guys better get ready because... you're in for a wild ride. After going to Japan and training in the mountains and then going to Siberia and wrestling a bear and then taking on a gang of criminals back home, I figured it all out. Buckle up bois (and grills) cuz I'm bout to show you the definition of BUTTWIPE.

Tior Flame, Head Gamemaker

Silence.

Silence is an extraordinary happening in this day and time, as all we hear nowaday is the annoying noise of people bustling in the city, the loud and obnoxious roaring of crowds, and the crying and screaming of countless families watching their children get slaughtered.

Not that I can ever actually hear that last one, but I like to pretend.

You see, I believe myself to be a chef, and I serve pain and suffering for the main course of every meal. For the appetizer, I dish out a feigned sense of friendship, and for the dessert, counterfeit sorrow.

The pain and suffering of others fuels me. It gives me a sense of joyfulness, and it turns me on.

I may very well become insane if exposed to this silence for too long. But I can't complain. This is my punishment. This white, mundane room, with a single chair in which I am sitting, is the president's idea of punishment for me.

And she was right. It's painful. It hurts. I don't want to be here anymore. But I can't say anything. Nobody is allowed to mess with the president. She's frightening.

The only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that the Games aren't too far away. Just a little bit longer, and we'll all be in a paradise.

A/N- Okay. Yea, that's it for the prologue It's so short, probs not even over a hundred words, but it's just meant to be a taste of what the gamemaker is like. I didn't want it to be very cliched so I didn't do the "hi president this is what the games are going to be like". Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I just wanted something different.
