The Final Good-Bye

She put her hand on my head,
Petting me softly.
She turns away from me,
Hiding her tears.
But I know she was crying,
And I was,too.
I can see her tears,
And her body trembling.
"Good-bye" she muttered and she turned and ran,
NOt daring to look back.
"Good-bye" I whispered, watching her run.
But in my heart,
I knew that we will always be together,
Forever and ever...
