It only took the Doctor a second or two before he burst out laughing. Rose stared at him, fury and embarrassment flaring like an insect bite.
"I don't see what's so funny," she retorted, attempting to ignore her new attire of a rather flourescent clown suit. She waved the sonic screwdriver towards him threateningly. "Never happens to you."
The Doctor sucked a breath in through his teeth, standing tall. Shaking his head, he took a moment to reply - and even that was punctuated with another laugh.
"Oh, Rose..."
"What?"
He flashed her the grin that always meant trouble. "I'm a professional."
