Season I - From Light to Darkness

Episode one - The Calm Before the Storm

Éclair and Lumierre were at the front desk as usual. Lummierre had a smile on her face as always, while Éclair sighed from boredom.

"I'm bored!" she said with half open eyes.

"It is our duty as members of G.O.T.T. to always be nice to those who come here," Lumiere stated.

"Will this day ever end?" Éclair complained.

Suddenly a holo-screen appeared and Eclipse spoke to them: "Éclair! Lumierre! Come to my office immediately!"

"Finally, some action!" Éclair said stretching her arms and back.

"A lady does not stretch in public," Lumiere commented.

"You're always so serious. Come on!" Éclair replied as they walked away.

Two girls took their place at the reception while they walked to the elevator and took it to the last floor. As they stepped out, Vendredi looked at them and said: "The boss is waiting for you."

But as soon as they opened the doors of the office, they saw an all too familiar figure sitting on the couch: Armblast.

"You again?" Éclair said frowning.

"Éclair, this is not the time," the head of G.O.T.T. said.

"What is the emergency?" Lumiere asked sitting down.

"This is!" Armblast said handing the girls a file and as they read it, Éclair's face became grim and anger could be read in her eyes.

"Genocide, detonating gravitational bombs, kidnappings… who is this madman?" she asked.

"His name is Jonas Kildare." Eclipse answered. "Armblast will give you more information on him while you search for him. I want you to leave immediately and find him as fast as you can!"

Éclair shook her head in approval and left, with Lumierre and Armblast right behind her. They boarded Calliope and took off in a few minutes.

After a few hours, Éclair walked over to Armblast, having a serious look on her face: "Who is this guy?"

"He's… my x-partner," Armblast said with a sigh.

Both the two girls were stunned by the information but Éclair was determined to hear the entire story so she crossed her arms over her chest and waited for him to continue.

"A long time ago, we were both ES members," he continued.

"That's impossible!" Éclair interrupted. "I know every ES member and I don't remember you or some bloodthirsty lunatic!"

"Do you remember two ES members called Magician and Trigger?" he asked forcing himself to smile.

"Yeah, they used to be two of the greatest, I heard they had disappeared during a mission in my early days as an ES member. Wait a minute! You don't mean…"

"I was Magician and he was Trigger," Armblast interrupted. "Although now he calls himself Thanatos. His methods were very unorthodox, much like your own. In fact, you two are a lot alike, he tried to destroy G.O.T.T. as well, and now he's doing it again."

A holo-screen appears and interrupts them. On it, a soldier with a frightened look on his face tried to speak to them but was having a hard time because of the poor transmission: "Please… Need help… Planet Aidaas… Attack…"

The transmission was cut off before he could say another word.
