Chapter 1: The Obtaining of Gorslefiend
There is a land where wars are plenty, blood is spilled and where bodies lay to rot and decay. This land is known as Krankour. It is a land where our hero is born. The name of our hero is Filgan Dring. Filgan was a young boy, about the age of 13 but he could take care of himself. He has no parents and he lives in a cave in the mountain called Doomslash. His parents died during the war when he was 5. He saw them torn apart by the dreaded creatures of darkness known as the Thera'guk. In any case he was an orphan. One day as he went to the village to buy bread (he has enough gold to buy bread because he works as a carrier for the knights) he saw a man sprawled on the ground dying and blood was everywhere. He instantly recognized the man as Sir Warlington the famous knight of the holy light and his master. He called to Filgan and said to him in a whisper.
"Filgan, come here boy."
"Yes , master?" he answered
"go warn the king, the Thera'guk are going to lay siege to the village. here take my sword Gorslefiend and attack any Thera'guk you see before you reach the king. Hurry and may the light give you strength." And with that Sir Warlington moved no more.
