Life was great at Bonnie's. However, Woody and Buzz still missed Andy. While Bonnie gave them a lot of fun so far, there was something about the way Andy played with them that was completely unique.
One night, Woody got onto the computer. He had been emailing some of Molly's stuffed animals. He clicked on the reply her teddy bear had sent.
It read:
Woody,
Andy is coming home for a break! Maybe you and your friends can come for a visit. Just hide from Andy. He'll think something's wrong.
-Mr. Bear
Woody's plastic eyes grew round (if that's even possible for a toy). After recovered from the shock, he jumped off the desk and ran to tell the great news.
He ran into Bonnie's room, his stuffed arms flailing. Slinky cam out from under the bed. Rex jumped off the shelf. Soon, everyone of Andy's former toys had gathered around him.
"I got an email from Mr. Bear!" he said, "He wrote that Andy is coming home for a break!"
Jessie and Buzz danced around he room. Then they suddenly stopped.
"But Andy's not our owner anymore," Jessie said sadly.
"We could try to go, but Andy wouldn't understand how we got there," Buzz said, looking at the ground.
"Maybe we could go and hide," suggested Rex.
Woody watched as glimmers of hope grew in everyone's eyes. Maybe they could pull it off. Mr. Potato Head put in an excellent, but sad, fact.
"Bonnie will be here. She won't see us anywhere. She'll think we're lost,"
All of the toys slinked away dejected. Rex gave a sad sigh. It seemed useless to even think about it. They wouldn't see Andy.
The next morning, the toys were being played with as bright light shone through the windows. Bonnie was playing a princess game. Buzz, the loyal space knight, had just rescued Princess Dolly.
Bonnie dropped the toys when she heard her mom's call.
"Bonnie! It's time to pack your things!"
Bonnie sighed as she put Buttercup and Mr. Pricklepants into a pink bag. Her mom appeared at the door.
"We need to pack you lots of clothes. This vacation will be a week long," she said, moving to the closet.
They packed some clothes and a few pairs of socks. Bonnie put in two little books. Then, she picked up all of her toys and tried to squeeze them into the bag.
"No sweetie. Only two toys," she said, looking into the bag, " It looks like you already picked out your two,"
Bonnie zipped the bag hut. Her mother picked it up and carried it downstairs with Bonnie following close behind.
"Guys," Woody said, "I think we can make it to Andy's after all,"
