Travelin' the Blues Road

Ticklin' the ivories

And singin' the blues

Tellin' stories from the past

Is the life this Englishman would choose

A man came and said "No problem"

Gave him a chance to sing his songs

But he had to go spread his music

And get a band to travel along

He sought out soulful musicians

The very best he could find

Lucky for him they were all together

With makin' good music in mind

They even had a lady singer

Who was clearly into every groove

She backed each song with her soul

And every rhythm with her moves

So they took to the musician's road

And let their feet wander afar

Went from the left coast of America

To the home of caviar

They have much more music to play

As they go to different lands

Feelin' so blue has never felt so good

As when it's played by Hugh Laurie, Sista Jean and the Copper Bottom Band
