Isako had no doubt about it.
Her friend had the softest touch in the world.
As she closed her eyes, the long nimble fingers ran through Isako's straight thick locks, and when she started to pull every strand together in a ponytail, the tips lightly brushed against the flesh of the back of her neck, and even for that flicker of a moment, she believed herself to be in ecstasy.
She slouched more down in the chair, allowing herself a contented sigh as Yasako twisted the pile of hair into a bun and shoved a pin within to hold the bundle together.
Isako would never admit it but she loved it when Yasako played with her hair.
"I bought this new shade of pink that just compliments your complexion and eye colour," Yasako cooed, opening the little trinket to dip her brush in. And as she carefully swept the texture along Isako's eye-lids, she proceeded her rambling, "It's called Sushi Flower, apparently. So to be honest the name alone sold me. And yeah, I know you don't like pink but I'm certain it will look pretty on you."
Isako wasn't really listening to any words Yasako was muttering. Her focus was completely on her scent. As Yasako hovered over her to apply the make-up, her perfume just wafted Isako's nostrils pleasantly. She smelled like the ocean, she distinguished. It suited her because it was as relaxing and as serene as her personality. She lost all senses, completely consumed by her enticing whiff, her heart beat pulsating through the room and she realised how the pale skin of her cheeks flushed crimson.
Suddenly she regained her hearing and noticed Yasako giggling as she was evidently still talking about trivial matters.
"—I still can't believe it finally happened. The date is already this Friday. This Friday, Isa. That's in two days. I'm so nervous."
She silenced to lean back to admire her artwork on Isako. A grin graced her features. "I knew it! You look beautiful," she beamed proudly, as she handed Isa a mirror so that the girl could inspect it herself. Isako forced a smile, indicating that she thought her friend did an excellent job as per usual, but really felt sick to her stomach when she heard about the upcoming date Yasako was having.
Yasako then released Isako's hair from the pin and began working her way through them again. "I think I'll choose an outfit and whatnot tonight. I have to look perfect for Haraken."
The ocean had never breathed this salty.
