So this is just a one shot I made about Juvia and Gajeel. I always felt Mashima never really focused on their days before fairy tail so I decided to write my point of view on it.
Disclaimer I don't own Fairy Tail.
This was the worst storm they had of the year.
Its been light rain for two weeks now but today its was as if the raid had a grudge against the small town and its residents , but little did they know it was all caused by someone they called the rain woman.
There in the middle of the night sat a rainwoman all alone, her umbrella long discarded in the rain, her face blank of emotion. If one was to ask her how long she's been there she couldn't answer. All she could tell you is that she hated the man that hired her. She knew never really liked him ever from that one time she asked him how to get the answers from one of her clients and he responded with " You're a pretty girl use your feminine ways," but now she knew she could really never forgive him even after he took her in, it was all for the wrong reasons anyway.
CRACKKKTTT!
The lighting lit up the sky but it didn't even phase her she was too lost in her thoughts to realize. She did not know if it was rain or tears running down her face.
She could never take back what she's done and with that realization she finally broke down. After two years of not shedding a tear for the rain was already enough. She finally cried. Her sobs got considerably louder every time she remembered his face. She was a monster she could not blame Jose for what he told her to do because she was the one who did it.
She felt the presence of someone but didn't look up.
"Since when we're you such a crybaby?"
Juvia turned her head to see Gajeel sitting next to her looking ahead. " Juvia... Juvia killed..I killed him Gajeel." Juvia sobbed barely getting it out.
" His never going to make friends, his never going to fall in love, his never going to experience the world, and its all because of Juvia!" Juvia cried getting louder as she lifed her head from her hands.
" It wasn't your fault Juvia."
" Yes it was Gajeel-kun, Juvia was the one to take away his future,Juvia was the last face he saw before he died!" Juvia screamed " not master Jose's own but Juvia's." She said getting quiet again.
After a couple minutes of silence Juvia was just going to tell him to go. He clearly didn't understand, after all he was just like the rest of her filthy guild and now so was she.
"just go G-"
" My first time was a mission two years ago, her dad was a big threat to this dark guild we worked for and those pussies actually thought it would be a good idea to kill his daughter." Gajeel said with a said laugh littered with unresolved anger. " She was a strong mage even for a six year old they we're also afraid she'd get too strong. So naturally they hired me they said " I was ruthless perfect for the job." Gajeel then turned his head to me.
" All they said was it was a simple kidnap mission." For a second I thought he was going to cry but instead of crying his sadness turned to anger his fist clenched, but he continued to talk. " So when they told me to kill her." He stopped for a moment letting his anger reside. " I couldn't I am an asshole but not a monster, but Jose said and ... she was... I had too." His breathing getting heavy as he struggled to admit to the crime he did. "If I didn't he said he would take away every thing, he said they were going to kill her anyway."
Juvia placed a hand on his shoulder silently telling him it's ok. He just looked away back to the empty park ahead of them.
After a few more moments of silence Gajeel finally said " Don't let that bastard get to you Juvia." He got up from his seat picking up her umbrella and shaking the water off of it. " Now stop crying so much jeez I thought you were stronger than that." He said with a playful tone handing her her umbrella.
Juvia just smiled slightly and got up. "Let's go home Gajeel."
