The Predicament
The day was August 24th, 2005 and it was a special day for Near, you see it was his birthday. He had been waiting for this day all summer and it finally come he is so excited he does not know what to do for once. He sits in his room wondering if he should go to Mello and Matt's room, but he knew he would probably get punched since it was 6 am.
Meanwhile only a little ways down the hall Mello and Matt had just had an interesting night.
It took Mello a little while to register what had happened last night but he remembered when he saw Matt in his bed. Then he looked under the covers and thought to himself 'Oh Shit'. He woke Matt up who was being kind of a bitch until Mello lifted the covers. That when Matt looked at Mello and then looked back.
Matt's response was to silently say "Shit, shit, shit, and shit. Shitty, shit, HOLY FUCKING SHIT."
Mello responded with a simple "Yeah, you think?" (In the most sarcastic tone he could make.)
The two sat in silence for a little while until Mello came up with the most basic idea ever. "How about we just do not tell anyone."
Matt said "Yeah, sure sounds great." He still seemed a little out of sorts from earlier but then he said something that Mello did not think he would say. "You wanna go again."
Mello responded with a "Fuck yeah."
An hour passed and Near finally decided to get out of bed. He changed from his sleeping pajamas to his walking pajamas. He grabbed his toy robot and said to himself "I hope Matt and Mello are awake."
Near then opened his door and started to walk down the hall and when he got to Mello and Matt's room he hear moaning and thumping. When he walked in…
"What happened?" Near asked when he woke up.
Mello responded to his question just by saying he ran into a wall. Then Near felt his head and realized there was no bump on it when it all came back to him. The image of Mello and Matt.
Near stuttered "Y… You… and you… AGH! The image will not get out of my head."
Mello told him that, what he was feeling was completely understandable when it hit him. Near probably did not know what quite happened and the Mello did not feel like having the birds and bees talk so he shut up and just said, "Sorry". He told Matt to get dressed and get Near's present for him.
When Matt came back he had clothes on and said here you guy as he gave the present to Near. It was a blank puzzle that had a gothic letter N at the top left corner. Near said thank you and went back to his dorm.
Mello and Matt felt safe for now but they knew that what Near had seen would come back to haunt them.
