I nodded, he was being so immature that lately, even Joe seemed more mature than him, yes, Joe still stuck straws up his nose, but Joe actually talked to me. I had a sudden urge to stick out my tongue, but restrained my self, Don't stoop down to his level Miles. He gave me another glare, I'd had enough, so I just turned my head back to the stage, where the Disney C.E.O. was thanking us for coming to the Disney Family Dinner. After one final word of thanks he instructed the waiters to bring out our entrees. I glanced down at the steaming plate of food, and took out my immaturity on the poor food, I glared at the bright green peas on my plate. The Disney executive sitting across from me asked, "Are you ok with your food, Miley?"
I realized that everyone could see me strangling the peas with my eyes, Selena, thank goodness, covered for me, " Oh, she's fine, she really concentrates on her food before she eats it." It was lame, but the exec bought it. I gave her a silent high-five underneath the table. If anyone of the Disney company found out that my relationship with the second-youngest Jonas wasn't just dandy, they'd sit us down in the conference room and try to fix it. After the conference it'd be really awkward. I'd know, I had to go into the conference room with Selena and another exec three months ago, we turned out best friends though, not because of how we "talked out our problems" but because we'd gone shopping right after.
I spooned up the last pea, and saw a shadow pass over my table, I was dumb enough to look up. There in front of me was the King of Jerks, Mr. Nick Grey.
"Why are you here?" I asked. He mumbled something, I couldn't hear, so I asked, "What did you say?"
"My brothers said I had to apologize ok?!" He whisper-yelled. Mandy, Demi, and Selena took this as their cue to leave, the exec had left long before Nick had even come, chatting it up with some "old friends".
"You don't have to apologize if you don't want to, you know?" I said.
Suddenly the steely Nick that I'd ignored melted away and he became the old Nick, "I really do want to apologize though!"
I laughed at his eagerness, he took that as green light to go on, "Do you even remember what we were fighting over again?"
Flashback
"Mr. Snuggles IS important Nick!" I yelled, "If you were really my friend you would have known that!"
"Mr. Snuggles is A BEAR." He yelled back, "I didn't mean to break him, you big baby!"
That did it, "Who do you think you are NICHOLAS? Mr. Snuggles has been my companion for years!"
"So are you saying that a stuffed bear is more important than me, a living person?"
"You can be so conceited!" I shrieked,"Mr. Bear, has been through it ALL with me, pre-school tears, 1st grade bullies.."
"I'm conceited huh? Then you're a stuck-up, spoiled, whiny, snob!"
"How dare you! Get out! I can't believe you! Go AWAY!" I screamed.
End Flashback
"That was a stupid fight.." I admitted, "But the way you've treated me the past few months wasn't acceptable at all."
"Yeah... but can we still be friends?" he asked sheepishly.
"No." I think my answer shocked him, it wasn't the answerhe'd been expecting
"Why not?!"
"You have to prove that you can still be my friend, and undo the way you've treated me for the last 3 months." And with that, I walked out of the room, towards Mandy and the other girls.
This is totally different from my usual type of writing, but I felt like writing something darker for once. What did you think? Please review. Also, I know, they got back together, but I'm squeezing in a make-up/break-up oneshot before it goes full out Niley-ness. Still crossing my fingers here for a Niley Month.
