A bit of a preview(sort of) for a story I'm in the midst of writing. Two short songs that will be sung about the events that take place in the story. I've never attempted writing songs before, it's really fun! I wrote them to the tune of Karlienes cover of "Lament for Boromir" if you want to listen to that while reading this!
The lament of Thorinuldûm
Retire now,
in stone you sleep.
From whence,
you first awoke.
Rest now,
in tombs of deep.
We grieve,
our Durin folk
Reunited now, our ancestors!
Feasting ever long.
Sing with them,
of Thorinuldûm!
A glorious
new song.
We honor those,
we lost that day!
Defending kin,
and pride.
Our sorrowed hearts,
they ache! We weep!
Without them,
by our sides.
laments we sing, our beards are shorn!
To mourn, our fallen kin.
May Mahals forge
burn bright this day.
The shadows
shall not win.
