You expect them to always be there
You take for granted that when you need them they will come running
You thought that when they left they would always return
Then one day they don't
They leave and they don't come back
You hope and you pray but it is not enough
They are gone
They left and you never said anything
Never told them how much that you need them
Or how much it helps when they listen
How much you care
But now it's too late
They won't return
And there is nothing that you can do about it
