Chapter 1 : Beloved Raiynaa
Our story does not begin with a disaster, but a single lost ship. In this ship are two adult Linyaari and their newborn child. We begin with their Happiness
"Oh yaazi," said Yokaanya. "She is beautiful." The Linyaari man stared down at his daughter.He was taken away by her innocent little face.
"What shall we name her, Meykinaa?" The woman looked down at her child thoughtfully. With that thoughtfullness came a reelation.
"My dear, Yokaanya," she said. "look at our child!" So together they looked. With large liquid eyes the child looked back. Her horn and hooves were a silver aqua blue instead of gold. Her eyes were a bright striking ice blue. Her mane and the feathers on the lower part of her legs were the silver of a star clad linyaari, but tipped with the same aqua blue.
"Is her coloring not strange?" Yokaanya asked. Meykinaa nodded.
"My dearest, I know what we shall name her." Yokaanya looked into his liemates eyes.
"She shall be Raiynaa. Our Raiynaa." The little girl smiled recognizing her own name.
"Lalli, Avvi" she said. Her parents smiled.
"Raiynaa?" She questioned. "Raiynaa!" The unexpected mind contact startled Yokaanya and Meykinaa.
" My dear child, where did you learn to do that?" Raiynaa smiled.
"Lalli, Avvi !" She thought spoke again.
"I think, yaazi, that our dear daughter has picked up mind speech, from us. Is that not amazing?" Meyinaa nodded in agreement.
So together they fed their little child and put her to sleep. Through space they sped, trying to find their way home.
