Professor Franken Stein sat broodingly in a swivel chair that was placed in the corner of his laboratory. Maka and Soul stood on either side of him, each shooting him a look every time he opened his mouth or tried to stand. Stein folded his arms over his chest and sat back like a pouting child in time out.
"No! Not my dissection table!" The mad scientist cried as two white-uniform clad Shibusen workers carried out the overused surgical equipment. This routine had been going on for 3 hours now.
"Professor Stein-" Maka started, sounding exasperated.
"It's over, dude," Soul cut Maka off, giving his tired partner a break. He glared at the professor."The stuff's being confiscated. Shinigami said you can have it back in a couple months if in that time you don't make a mutant blood-sucking hybrid, create a virus that enters via sound waves and slowly and painfully kills the infected person, dissect the vice-president, steal half the dolphin for some experiment we still have yet to find the product of, or do some strange combination of everything I just listed. Again!" Stein glared venomously at the intruders in his lab.
"You people have no respect for science," He told them matter-of-factly. The weapon-meister pair's eyes widened.
"What does wiping out Idaho's population have to do with science?" Maka exclaimed.
Stein shot her a look. "We now how the citizens of Idaho are not...were not prepared for a blood-sucking, critically infected, outstandingly aquatic version of the vice president to attack their state. You're welcome,"
Maka rolled her eyes before turning back toward the workers. Stein paused a second. "How did you get in here, anyway?"
Soul dangled something in front of Stein's face. "Marie gave us spare keys."
"Okay that looks like the last of it," One of the workers announced, walking over to them as he wiped sweat off his brow. Soul walked forward and clapped the worker on the back as Maka turned to face Stein again.
"Okay, Professor Stein," She said. "We're going to go now. We're going to go tell Shinigami that all your science stuff is out and that we don't have to watch you anymore. I'm really sorry about all of this. Next time think about what you're doing before you start insanely dissecting things," Maka chastised the good doctor lightly before walking back over her partner. She ushered the workers and Soul out, giving Stein a small wave before leaving herself.
Stein sat for a moment after they left. He then stood and turned in a small circle, taking in his new, bare, laboratory. Then he grinned.
Walking over to the wall, he slapped the wall lightly, punching in a complicated code when a small portion of wall slid upward to uncover a small keypad. He hit enter then watched as the entire wall moved up to reveal a large laboratory nearly identical to the one that had been so heartlessly stripped. The exception being an enormous fish tank in the corner of the room that was housing 7 dolphins. The dolphins seemed to wince when they saw him walk in.
Stein smiled sadistically, his glasses glinting intimidatingly in the light. "Dissection time."
How was it? I hope it made you smile a little! ^^ This idea came to randomly when I was reading a fanfic about Stein and his crazy experiments.
