I walked onto the bus in the morning with my pinstriped hat over my eyes and my I-pod on high. I sat in an empty seat, ignoring the looks and closed my eyes.

My first day at Sky High. I was starting in the middle of the school year because we moved. I wasn't looking forward to it.

You see, my family is a bit weird; my father is an "evil genius" as he likes to say and my mother is…well... a saint…ish…And then there's my twin sister. We couldn't be any more different. She is literally the complete opposite of me. She even arranged to ride a different bus to school to avoid being seen with me. She sees me as the devil, which is in fact what she calls me. Short for Devillen, my name.

As we got to school, I walked off the bus slowly, pulling my knee length coat closer and turning the music up louder. Unfortunately, I was forced to turn it off as I was approached by the principle, Mrs. Powers.

"Miss. Loire I presume?" She said and I nodded. "You'll be put through the power placement test and given you're schedule before lunch. Gwen? Will you please escort Miss. Loire to the gym?" I looked up as a girl dressed in pink walked towards me. Gwen Grayson. Head of the School Committee, straight-A student, and technopath. Next to her, a cheerleader by the name of Penny. Actually... there were a lot of Penny's. A whole cheerleading squad. She my friends, was a replica. They reminded me of my sister.

"Im Coach Boomer. You may have heard of me as Sonic-Boom. You might not. Now, what's your name and power?" Coach Boomer said rather loudly. I had a feeling we wouldn't be getting along so well. I took a step forward and shrugged off my coat.

"My name's Devillen. Devi for short." I said and tossed my hat on top of my coat, showing my glowing purple eyes. "And I'm gonna need…something…"

"Car." He said into a speaker and a car was dropped above me. I gasped lightly and stopped it in mid-air, levitating it for a few brief moments before tossing it aside. "Telekinetics? Nice. HERO!" I chuckled and grapped my things.

"I can do a bit more than levitate cars, Brucey." I said and walked away, receiving a satifying bewildered look.
