"Hey Tawni have you seen my . . ." I heard Sonny say as she entered our dressing room. "What's wrong?" she asked looking at me wipe my eyes.
"I'm practicing for a skit." I lied because I couldn't tell her the real reason I had been crying.
"I know you're lying and I'm not going to ask, but if you want to talk I'm here." She grabbed something off of her dresser and started to walk back out the door.
"I've got something to tell you." I found myself blurting. She turned around and looked at me with concern in her eyes.
"Yes Tawni?"
"I knew you were Eric." I said quietly, but she must have heard me because she said,
"How did you know?" I looked away feeling nervous and she asked again, "Tawni, how did you know I was Eric?"
"No one else makes me feel the way you do." I finally mumbled.
"What?" she asked confused. I stood up and started to pace in front of her.
"When I see you my stomach jumps and I get nervous. You make my heart fly and feel more alive than even when I'm on stage."
"Why are you telling me this?" she asked quietly.
"Cause I saw you and Chad having a moment and it's just a matter of time before you guys date." She started to laugh and felt angry.
"Hey, don't laugh at me."
"I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing at the thought of me and Chad together." She explained when she caught her breath.
"Why? I thought you liked him."
"No, I hate him besides I'm a lesbian."
"You are?"
"Why does that surprise you?" she asked calmly.
"Just 'cause you seem to be so into Chad and the other guys."
She looked around and leaned close to me to whisper, "It's called acting shhh." I laughed and she joined in. She stopped and looked at me seriously to say, "I like you." I smiled.
"I like you too, but I act like I don't 'cause I'm not supposed to like anyone." She walked close to me slowly until she was an inch away from me to look into my eyes as if wondering what to do next and I put my hand behind her head and pulled her lips toward mine. I felt desire run through my veins as her tongue slipped through my lips and she pulled me to the couch. Our tongues fought until lack of air burned our lungs. We pulled apart and stared into each others eyes breathing heavily.
"What happens now?" she asked when she caught her breath.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked boldly. She smiled.
"Yes, but on one condition."
"Yeah." I said wondering what the condition was.
"Kiss me."
"Anything for you." I said before hungrily pulling her lips to mine again.
