Hawkeye House 19:

"What Morals?"

Alternate

Rebecca POV

Rebecca was drunk. Good thing, really, the last thing she wanted to do was think. A lazy smile spread across her face as she leaned closer to her friend. "You know, you gotta get laid, girrrrl." She waved her finger at Riza as if she were scolding her. "Ill fix you ri'up," she hiccupped, smiling to herself.

Riza really was a lucky girl.

"You really shouldn't say things like that in public."

Lucky, but needed to pull that stick out of her ass.

"Public-shumblic." It was just the guys, and Hell, one of them already knew. "Is great Risss, You'd loooove et."

"That's great." Rebecca rolled her eyes, as her friend peered over her shoulder to get a look at him. Why did it have to be him of all people? She had to pick the guy that was hardest to get.

"No, reall," she threw her arm around Riza and spun her towards the other side of the pub. "eey, really." She leaned over to whisper in her ear, "could e'en look like Royboy if you want."

Not taking the joke, Riza snapped at her. "Don't you think it's a bit cruel to sleep with someone just because they look like someone else?"

Cruel? Hell yes. "I unno, appens all da time." She didn't want to think about it. "don't hafta look ike em either," she muttered.

"Stop hanging on me," Riza pushed her off onto the bar counter.

Rebecca's eyes followed Havoc at the end of the bar. "Suposse ets cruel," she sighed.

"Yeah, so don't do it." Riza watched Roy, failing to notice Havoc waving at her until Roy shoved him.

"Wha makes 'ou thin' I did et?" No, she wasn't the cruel one.

"Who's the one that came here just to get closer to Breda?"

"Im not interested in em anymore." No, she was the sick one.

"Riza laughed, "what? Moved on to Havoc then?"

Rebecca's face grew redder than before. "Lie Hell!" She shouted, slamming her hands onto the bar. Her palms stung and she hung her head to avoid eye contact with the boys. He was watching.

No, she was the sick one who let him.

"He lies…" She slummped back into her seat. "…Someun else anyways."

"Really, who?"

Insensitive bitch.

How could she not know?

His eyes never left her for long. Even when they did he always thought about her, Rebecca knew that firsthand. "Mmmhmm, you gotta ge' laid." She laughed stupidly, "Ats why ur here, righ? Hopin' you'f get so drunk you'd hook up wi him, righ?"

Riza blushed.

Stupid girl. Things never work out that way, she knew from experience.

"So much for morals, huh?" Riza sighed.
