Petunia sat on her desk. Tears streaming down her face. Lily's dead. Really dead. It was horrific. She couldn't be dead. No she's at home. She just left Harry at her steps. Yes. Yes. No, you know she would never do that.
She wished she had said sorry. But it's too late. She's dead. Petunia opened her closet and took out an old box. She carefully opened it and lifted a necklace out. It was a red ruby on a golden chain. Lily gave it to her.
At first, when she got it, she through it across the room. Then she slowly picked it up, and cried. Cried because nothing would be the same. Nothing. Lily raved on and on about that school. That's all she ever talked about.
They used to be friends. They used to be the closet sisters. But, that all changed because of jealousy. At first she tried to be nice. She really did. But soon it was to much and she pushed Lily away.
Vernon helped at first. But, when he learned what Lily was he called her a freak, and Petunia had no choice but to follow along.
She put down the necklace and picked up an old piece of parchment. IT was the last letter Lily had ever sent her.
Dear Tunney,
Why are you ignoring me? What's wrong? Are you okay? Momma said to leave you alone but, I can't. I miss you. Please write back. Sev says you're jealous. But I don't believe him. Are you jealous? Please write back!
Love,
Lily
It had read. Petunia sobbed harder. She sent this when she was 15. Petunia missed Lily. And all she had left of Lily was this box of things. That was until Harry arrived.
Harry. He had her eyes. The beautiful emerald green eyes. Since the day she laid eyes on him. Lily sacrificed herself for him. I won't let her sacrifice go in vain. She would protect him.
Of course Vernon wouldn't allow it. What would Lily say? "Tunney you can't let him boss you around!" She should have listened.
Petunia picked up a piece of paper and wrote.
I'm sorry Lily.
She picked up the paper and ran down stairs. She walked out the house and buried it for her. "Good bye Lily," Petunia whispered. "I love you."
So good? Bad? Tell me in a review.
