"Sakura…You need to get up! You're gonna be late!" Kero-chan tapped Sakura's face.
"Huh…?" Sakura muttered sleepily. She looked at her alarm clock. 8 o'clock.
"Hoe! I'm late!" Sakura cried as she rushed to get ready. She ran down the stairs, almost tripping on the last step.
"Morning, Monster," her older brother, Touya, greeted her. Sakura glared at him.
"I am NOT a monster!" she yelled. Why did Touya have to call her a monster every morning? It just doesn't help when you wake up late.
"Oh, with all that racket upstairs, I thought a monster was stomping around," Touya teased. "Well, I have to go. I'm meeting Yuki this morning."
"Wait!" Sakura called frantically, shoving all her breakfast into her mouth and taking off after Touya. How could he be so insensitive? Especially when he was going to meet HIM. Sakura sighed, suddenly feeling a little lighter. She rounded the corner, finally catching up to Touya.
"Aha!" Sakura sighed in delight when she saw Yukito waiting for her brother. Yukito, her brother's best friend, who she just happened to be in love with.
"Ah! Sakura-san! Good morning!" Yukito called with a smile. Sakura suddenly felt happier than ever. She smiled wide.
"Good morning, Yukito-san!" she greeted him gleefully.
"What's this? You were so loud this morning… A lot like a monst—" Touya cut off with a hiss of pain. Sakura had kicked him in the shin. Not only that, but she'd kicked him with roller blades on. Suddenly Sakura realized Yukito was watching.
"Oh! Um…Ahahaha…" Sakura trailed off, embarrassed. She looked to her side, they were at school. Her best friend, Tomoyo, was waiting at the gate for her. Touya and Yukito rode past the school, calling goodbye over their shoulders.
"Oh! Sakura-san!" Yukito called. Sakura turned just in time to catch what he had thrown her. She opened her hands to reveal a piece of candy. She smiled dreamily as Yukito rode into the gate at the high school.
Tomoyo watched with a knowing smile. 'The start of another wonderful day.'
