A/N: I do not own any named characters in this poem, just the poem itself.
This is my first poem so please be nice. Constructive criticism is accepted and welcome. Enjoy!
Unsung Hero
You named me after an animal,
A beast known far and wide,
You told me that with my last name
I'd never have to hide.
You told me that the family name
Brings respect to all those who hear it,
But instead all that it brought me,
Was pain, I couldn't bear it.
Father, you told me that one day,
I grow to be just like you,
The thought used to make me happy,
But now I'd rather die than be like you.
You ruined my life from the day I was born,
You taught me right from wrong,
But lead me down the darkest path,
Where you said I would belong.
But Father, don't you see that,
Whilst saying all these things,
You took away my freedom,
Ripped apart all my feelings.
I fought my hardest in the war,
To save the good side, not the bad,
But none of that matters now,
You stole the life I never had.
You took away my childhood,
As well as my free will,
You took away my security,
You sent my life downhill.
My name is Draco Malfoy,
Child of the man,
Who ruined my life forever,
My Father was that man.
