"Itachi why did Onii-chan kill himself" asked Saki Shisui's younger sister
Itachi just responded by petting her hair trying to comfort her. Saki tightened her arms around Itachi crying once more. Itachi was doing as promised protecting and supporting his late best friend's younger sister. Itachi trying to hold back his tears as well hugged her back. How would she deal with the soon to happen massacre he didn't know. Or how she would react knowing he killed her brother. Itachi would have to tell her soon to go along with Shisui's wish.
"I have something to tell you" he whispered
She looked up with a questioning look
Time Skip
Saki who was now going to stay in the main house by Mikoto's request so she wouldn't be alone. Was now refusing to leave the guest room after hearing the news of what actually happened. Itachi decided to give her some time to understand what was going to happen. Her muffled crying could be softly heard throughout the house. Mikoto was trying to get her out of the room after her second day of not leaving the room she sent Itachi in.
As she heard the door open she looked up. Quickly putting her head back to rest on her knees. Itachi slowly walked towards her till he stood in front of her.
"Why did it have to be Onii-chan" she muttered
"I don't know" Itachi answered
"I'm not mad at you" she stated
"Your not" he asked
"No I'm mad at the clan if they didn't want to go against Konoha Onii-chan would be alive" she answered
Itachi moved to shut the door hoping no one heard what she said. Then moving to sit next to her on the bed.
"Are you going to do what Shisui wanted" he asked
"Yes I just don't want to be alone" she whispered as her head fell onto Itachi's shoulder
"Neither do I" he agreed
Soon her breath evened out leaving Itachi to be alone with his thoughts.
