Tonight was different. No flashing cameras, no expensive sports car, no publicity. Instead, it was a quiet dinner at home with someone who had totally changed his view of what it took to have a good time. Lauren Tyson had come into TK's life six months ago, and it had been totally unexpected. She was a twenty four year old with a master's degree who TK had met at a charity event, and who had dramatically changed his life. Dr. Dani had helped him realize his feelings for the pretty intern who had started working as Matt's assistant a few months ago, and now tonight he was planning to show her just how much she meant to him. He had filled their apartment with six dozen vases with a dozen red roses in each and had gotten Dani to come over and help him cook dinner. His therapist was surprised at the effort TK was making, even down to wearing the shirt Lauren had bought him for Christmas that he hated but she loved. At first he had had hesitations about their relationship, since she was white, but eventually he had gotten used to it.
Dani finished washing the dishes they'd cooked with, then took her purse and gave him a hug. "Good luck tonight, TK." With a smile, she left the apartment, TK sitting down to wait for Lauren to get home from work. After about fifteen minutes, the door opened, and his beautiful girl walked in. Dropping her purse on the couch, she went to walk into the kitchen, stopping when she saw the elaborate three course meal TK had laid out on their dining table, and at the flowers blanketing their apartment. "TK, is this for me?" The football player nodded, standing up as she rushed into his arms. "I did all this for you for Valentine's Day." He took her hand and led her over to the table, sitting her down in a chair. "Have a seat, my queen." He sat her plate in front of her, Lauren smiling. "This is nice, TK. Thank you for doing all of this. It wasn't necessary, just Chinese and Netflix would have been fine." Her boyfriend laughed. "No way, baby doll, tonight we're going all out."
Once they finished eating, TK got up and carried their plates to the sink, turning toward the ice cream cake he'd bought, her favorite. "You want dessert, baby?" Lauren got up from the table, walking up behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist, one hand slipping under his arm to pull his hand away from the knife he was using to cut the cake. "I want dessert, but I have a better idea as to what we can have." Her lips curled into a smirk as she hugged him around his waist, TK turning so that they were face to face. Pulling her close to him by her hips, he kissed her feverishly with an intensity that she hadn't seen from him in a long time. "I… love… you," she whispered in between his heated open mouth kisses whenever he finally gave her the chance. "I love you too, baby girl." She slipped her hands up to his shirt, undoing the pearl buttons and pushing the red cotton off his shoulders. He repaid the favor by pushing her back a step so he could pull her teal shirt off, tossing it to the side before shimmying his arms out of his shirt and letting it follow hers. Lauren kicked her heels off as TK lifted her into his arms, carrying her into their bedroom. The blonde was unceremoniously tossed onto the bed, giggling as TK smirked at her before pouncing on top of her. "You gonna score, Mr. King?" Lauren shot him a seductive look as he bent his head to kiss her hard, quickly getting her jeans off of her. "I'm gonna score big time baby."
As their makeout session intensified, Lauren took a moment to look at TK, smiling softly.
"Happy Valentine's Day, TK."
