Sorta, kinda, guiltily inspired from 'My First Kiss- 30h!3 ft. Ke$ha' How I imagine Rose's first kiss was, in an AU kind of way. Disclaimer: I don't own VA and this imagined up bull crap is totally my idea….:/ OH and Rose is 12 here, can you imagine?

It started with a gave of Spin The Bottle. Mason was there, and all my other friends like Eddie but Lissa was in her dorm, she was sick. So it was just a few of us, all crouched round the back of the school building, trying not to giggle because we were all super hyper. It's what happened when you got together a group of pre-teens with over active imaginations then let them do whatever the hell they wanted.

In the centre of our huddle was a bottle, a Coca Cola one, all shiny and clear glass with only a few stubborn remnants of the paper label around it's middle like a belt. My slender fingers reached out and span the bottle with a flick of my wrist.

It span once, twice, three times, wobbling all over the place on the uneven ground. I could see some of the boys' faces, some alight with hope and others utterly dreading the fact the bottle might land on them. It'd be awful if it was any of my really good friends.

I almost couldn't look.

But I did.

The bottle had landed on Mason, who seemed surprised.

"Alright, let's just get it over with." I grumbled as the crowd around me collapsed, howling with laughter. Mason smiled at me, a reassuring smile. It was only a little Spin The Bottle kiss, how could it mean anything. He shuffled closer to me, and I shuffled closer to him, leaning over the bottle that was the cause of all this.

He looked adorably dorky, rolling his eyes at our friends who were wiping tears from their eyes or still doubled over laughing. We were friends with them, sure, but Mason and I have always had a extra special friendship, we understand each other really well.

Slowly, our faces drew closer and closer and before long I could feel his warm breath on my skin, almost making me shiver. One hand tucked a strand of dark hair behind my ear before it settled on my chin, thumb stroking the soft skin on my cheek. Then we kissed.

It was awkward, clunky, sloppy and yet it felt so…nice?

The whole inexperience was just adding a different kind of sweetness to the mix. Eddie was watching the time and when two minutes was up he tapped Mason on the shoulder.

"Didn't know you had it in you Mason." I joked, smiling to let him know it WAS a joke.

"Didn't know YOU had it in YOU Hathaway."

I smacked him on the shoulder playfully and then the game carried on. Everything was back to normal, but in those seconds we'd locked lips I'd seen a side of Mason that he desperately hid from me.

Mason liked me.

And I didn't have a clue what the hell I was going to do about it.
