"Is there anything you can't do?" John's voice is quiet as he watches Sherlock pick the lock into the warehouse.
"I would appreciate it if you would remain quiet they still have a chance to be here you know" The detective pushes the now unlocked door open and slides into the building. Leaving John standing behind him grumbling.
"Are you sure the evidence is here? We can't just leave this and come back when you're sure their gone?"
A grimace crosses Sherlock's face and he shakes his head. "They could take it. We need that painting. The rest of the code depends on it."
They make it down a flight of stairs before John feels ready to say anything more. "How did you know that the paintings held that code in them?"
Sherlock scrunches his face as he steps gingerly down the stairs. "The suspect enjoys Renoir these are all obviously paintings he's seen and most he's STOLEN before. There is only one that was stolen that wasn't recovered and that one must be his favorite. The one he enjoys the most If we're assuming that is the case then it must make sense that he keeps that painting with him or in the place he spends the most time. In terms of places he would spend time either his home or his work is appropriate, However If we assume he has a wife or family then he wouldn't want them to see the painting so that makes work more likely. Were also running on the fact that he used all of the paintings as a way to create his code. When we add that the only logical choice would be where he completes his work. This warehouse was purchased months ago by an offshore company to use for storage of vehicles before sale, However the company went bankrupt last month and the building is supposed to be in foreclosure. There has been a recent slew of activity in the past two weeks. However no one is seen coming out after going in. There has to be some form of underground entrance and exit probably from where they are creating the fake Renoir paintings."
"Right" John follows down the stairs in silence as he and Sherlock make their way towards the basement of the warehouse. "How did you know they were coming and going?"
Sherlock raises an eyebrow at him but obliges. "Homeless network."
