Part 1
She had just finished school and was walking along the beach on her way home, when she heard a ship's horn go off in the distance she then remembered that her aunty had told her that her father's ship was coming into port. She turned on her heel and headed towards the NAVY part of the pier. As she arrived there she saw a few people still on the boat, everyone had left except for Nikki, Josh, Pete and her dad.
"Nikki," she screamed while running towards her, they hugged.
She stepped back and ran towards her father "Dad!" she yelled into his shoulder.
"Hey pumpkin," he replied.
"Nikki, Josh and Pete I'll see you guys at my place tonight," he said.
"Yeah," they all replied.
"What's happening tonight dad?" she asked, pulling away from the hug.
"Well the crew is all coming around, as well as the new X," he replied starting to walk up the pier towards his car.
Everyone had arrived except for the new X. Lauren was sitting inside finishing her homework when there was a knock on the door.
"Dad!" she yelled. No one replied.
"Fine I will answer it," she said to herself angrily.
She opened the door and there stood Kate.
"Is this Mike Flynn's h…." started Kate before she looked down to a familiar face that she hadn't seen in a very long time.
"Lauren!" said Kate pulling her into a bear hug.
"Kate!" said Lauren returning the hug.
"Haven't seen you in ages, we should catch up some time," said Kate.
"Yeah we should," Lauren stood back so Kate could walk in.
They walked out the back.
"Lauren have you finished your homework yet?" said Mike.
"No but…" said Lauren getting angry.
"No buts Lauren, you have to finish your homework first!" said Mike; sternly
"Fine, whatever," said Lauren walking back inside.
"Actually she was bringing me out," said Kate.
"Ah, Kate nice to see you came," said Mike.
Lauren walked inside and sat back down to finish her homework. The clock had just hit 6:30 when Lauren finished her homework. She was on her way out when she heard her name being called from the kitchen. She walked in to see her aunty grabbing the meat out of the fridge.
"Do you want a hand with them Aunty Sammy?" asked Lauren.
"Yeah can you grab the stuff off the bench," said Sam. They walked out the back.
"Loz, have you finished your homework yet?" asked Mike.
"Yes dad, I have that is why I am out here," replied Lauren.
"Michael, I don't care if she has or hasn't finished she has been doing homework for the last 2 hours, she needs a break!" said Sam. Mike just ignored her and kept talking to Swaino.
"Katie!" said Lauren.
"Hey Lauren, I see your father hasn't changed," said Kate.
"No he hasn't, he's got angrier since he left you and hasn't been the same. He told me that he regrets leaving you," said Lauren.
"Oh Lauren, I have missed you so much and it's nice to see you again," said Kate giving Lauren a hug.
"Loz!" yelled Nikki.
"Hey Nikki," Lauren replied.
"What ya doing?" asked Nikki.
"I'm just catching up with Katie, dad's new XO," said Lauren.
"Oh ok then, I will talk to you later," said Nikki walking off to find Josh.
"Do you want to go inside and catch up?" asked Lauren.
"Yea sure why not," replied Kate, Mike watched as they walked inside.
