"Percy! You in here?" Annabeth called out. "It's-" she broke off, noticing a piece of paper on his bed.
Come to the rock wall, I have a surprise for you!
Annabeth smiled, and she set out for the wall. There, she found another note.
Yeah, sorry, the surprise is actually at the docks.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, and walked to the dock. She found yet another note, this one inside a canoe with a heart shaped box next to it.
Surprise! No, not really, but here are some chocolates to make up for the false advertising. Also, a poem:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Oh sweet Annabeth,
I love you!
Sorry. I'm not an Apollo kid.
Annabeth found herself laughing.
Anyways, the real surprise will be at dinner tonight! Meet me at 7:00, m'kay? I'll see you then Wise Girl!
-Love,
Percy
P.S: I love you!
Annabeth allowed herself a huge smile. She loved this boy.
Annabeth's day crawled by slowly, although at 5:30, things got a little more interesting. She was walking back from the arena when she was mobbed by the Aphrodite girls.
"Whoa, WHOA! What're you doing?!" She yelled. Piper smirked.
"Sorry Annabeth. Percy's orders," Annabeth paled.
"Oh no."
At 66:50 Annabeth met the Aphrodite cabin's beauty standards. She was in a striking gray and gold dress, her hair flowed perfectly down her back in beautiful tangles and curls, and she of course had make up on. All courtesy of the Aphrodite cabin. Piper tossed her a mirror.
"Wow. I'm impressed. Thank you all," She said. The girls giggled back.
"Well, c'mon," Piper beckoned to her. "You don't want to be late."
Outside, a chariot had magically appeared, horse included. Annabeth stepped in. Piper slapped the horse's rear. The horse's rear. The horse sprang into action, and took off for the mess tables.
"Have fun!" Piper called.
Annabeth arrived precisely at 7:00. What she saw took her breath away. Everything had been decorated with red streamers, heart shaped balloons, and beautiful lace table cloths. Everything had been decorated with red streamers, heart shaped objects, and beautiful lace tablecloths. The scene was perfect, and at the center of it all, was Percy Jackson. In. A. Tuxedo. Annabeth gasped. It was like a little slice of Elysium. Percy walked down to her, took her hand, and helped her off the chariot. He kissed.
"Hello my love," Percy said, smiling at her. "Are you ready for dinner?"
"Percy… this is incredible…" She said, her mouth slightly agape.
"Heh, surprise!" He said. He offered an arm for her to take, classic style.
"If you would take my arm, we can go to our table," Annabeth smiled and took his arm. Percy led her to a single small square table. Percy pulled out Annabeth's chair for her.
"Jeez Jackson, a girl could get used to this," Annabeth smiled coyly. He smiled back, and picked up a menu. They both "ordered" (food, of course, appeared on the plate) and ate a romantic, candlelit dinner. Annabeth had never felt more loved.
"This has been the best Valentine's day ever," She said. He smiled.
"I've still got one more thing…!" He said. He clapped his hands twice, and the opening guitar notes of a slow, beautiful song come on.
"Would you like to dance?" Percy offered his hand to Annabeth.
"With you? Of course!" She took his hand and they got up. They began swaying to the beat. He had his arms around her waist, and hers were around his neck. They gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. Their kiss started lightly, then became more passionate.
"I love you," They said at the same. "I love you too," they said in sync again.
"This has been the best time ever," She said.
"I try, baby," He smiled. "I try."
Just some short, fun, V-day fluff. I hope you have a good day with your significant other :)
