Disclaimer: I might be owning one really weird imagination, but I certainly don't own Card Captor Sakura! If I did, Sakura would never ever have fallen for Yukito, he would be just mine!
Dedicated to: CCS fangirl cum my best friend Pooja, whose constant bugging was one of the main reasons for my writing this fanfic. I love you, dear!
Special thanks to sakura-pichu16296 for this edited version. Thanks a lot girl, I certainly owe you one! I hope you beta all of my future fics as nicely as this one.
Warning: Well, I can't really find anything to warn against other than fluff, fluff and enough fluff to cause chronic diabetes!
Finally, on with the story!
The Right Words
Sakura always thought that no matter how handsome, rich, charming, kind or sweet a man was, he would never be the ideal husband material for her unless he could learn to replace the words 'I' and 'Me' with 'We'. Hence, when Syaoran, the ideal man of many women, also known as Sakura's long-term boyfriend, proposed to Sakura with a "Will you marry me?" she refused at once.
-Flashback-
Syaoran had taken Sakura to one of the most popular restaurants in the city and then gave her a surpriseā¦
"Will you marry me?" Syaoran asked, holding a glittering emerald ring towards a surprised Sakura.
"No," Sakura answered back promptly, "I will not,"
Syaoran's jaw dropped, along with the many others of several watching spectators and the.
"W-why not!?"
Sakura stood up while saying, "I will not marry a man, no matter how much we love each other, who thinks only of himself,"
Syaoran simply blinked at his girlfriend, speechless.
"And-," Sakura added, "-this is not the end of our relationship, Syaoran. I'll see you on our next date," A small smile touched the Sakura's lips as she walked away from her still-shocked boyfriend.
00End Flashback00
And though they didn't split up after that little incident, Sakura could feel tension clinging unto the air around her boyfriend.
However, after some pondering and dwelling, Syaoran once again proposed to Sakura with a "Can we get married and live happily ever after like in those movies and have ten wonderful children?" Sakura laughed and had to accept. After all, he did say the right words even though they were a bit unorthodox.
The End
A/N: And so finishes my first ever CCS fic. I know it's short and is a bit too fluffy but I totally blame it on the Mills and Boon novels I've lately taken to reading! I suppose the effect would last for quite a while and all you are going to get from me for now would be fluffy little oneshots! And I am not even going to warn about them after this!
